I don’t usually have dessert.  Usually, I eat so much for dinner that I don’t need anything else.  At our family party on Sunday, we ate so early that I was hungry by the time cake and ice cream came around.

My sister offered me a candy bar.  A coconut and chocolate candy bar.  I used to love Mounds and Almond Joy.  I have not had either in years.  So, I jumped at the chance to have the vegan version of a Mounds bar.

They care called OCHO candy bars.  I’ve never heard of them before.  The coconut is wrapped in dark chocolate, rich dark chocolate.  Let me tell you, it was good!  The coconut is wrapped in dark chocolate.

I read the label as I do with everything I buy.  They are made locally by hand in Lafayette, California.  I read the ingredients after I ate it, so I wouldn’t be scared to eat it.  It has 15 grams of sodium and 3 grams of fiber.  But, it has 14 grams of sugars.  It’s not really that big of a bar for so much sugar.

I couldn’t eat these every day with all that sugar.  But, it was pretty good as a special treat for a special occasion.

Yep, I ate the whole thing!
